In Vietri sul Mare, the heart of the Amalfi Coast, among the beautiful landscapes that the nature has given this splendid land, Vietri Export scarl, a consortium of four factories of traditional Vietri style ceramic, is today a fundamental and characteristic part of ceramic products "made in Italy" obtaining world-wide success thanks to its simplicity of form, pureness of decoration and brightness of colour.

The De Maio family formed Vietri Export in 1994, as a consortium of the following factories Ceramica di Vietri Francesco De Maio, Ceramica Vietri Antico, Antiche Fornaci D'Agostino and La Tavolozza Vietrese. At the head of Vietri Export are Francesco De Maio and Vincenza Cassetta who have passed down to their children Adelaide, Giuseppina e Giovanni their passion for work, concentrated on the conservation of an artistic tradition, expressed through unique and identifiable shapes and colours.

The purpose of this consortium is the promotion, formation and historical conservation of the traditional ceramic art from Vietri, in which the De Maio parents, both heirs of a long dynasty of ceramic masters, are today living symbols of the antique production of ceramics.

As for Ceramica di Vietri Francesco De Maio, Ceramica Vietri Antico, Antiche Fornaci D'Agostino and La Tavolozza Vietrese, the decision to form a consortium was made to establish projects for common markets, in response to a market in continual movement and evolution. The consortium takes on the roll of coordinating promotional activities and organizing the means of communication for the four companies, to consolidate their presence in the national and international markets.

Vietri Export performs the important task of direction of the separate factories, contributing to the definition of coherent business strategies. This consortium manages information necessary to pave new ways for growth and development, in order to confront the market with an innovative approach that goes above and beyond a simple relationship between producer and client. Passion and new energy are put in full force for promotion of services, finalized with the exportation of products as well as the importation of unfinished products and semi-worked materials.

The four companies, Ceramica di Vietri Francesco De Maio, Ceramica Vietri Antico, Antiche Fornaci D'Agostino and La Tavolozza Vietrese, are active participants every year at the Cersaie, the prestigious fair in Bologna, and also Coverings, an annual exhibition-event in the United States of America.
